A Touch From God is ‘More Than Goose Bumps and Tears’

There are certain times when the Lord calls us out of the routine of our daily lives. These are special seasons where His only command is, “Seek My face.” The Lord has something precious and vitally important to give us that the familiar pattern of our daily lives cannot accommodate. During such times people are often delivered of sins that have plagued them for years; others discover a new depth in their walk with God and, thus, greater effectiveness in ministry and prayer. Still others obtain breakthroughs for their families and friends as the Lord, in response to their drawing near to Him, brings their loved ones into His kingdom. Many times we expect spiritual breakthroughs to occur automatically, but most things we obtain from Heaven arrive via our asking, seeking, and knocking. In other words, we have not because we ask not. Pursuing the Lord is the secret to a fulfilled life. Recall the words of King David. He was a man who was forced to live in the wilderness; he was hunted by enemies and slandered throughout the nation by King Saul and his cohorts. David had many reasons to fear, yet instead he lived boldly. Where did David’s confidence come from? He said, “I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears” (Ps. 34:4). David wasn’t delivered from “all [his] fears” simply in the routine of life’s course. No, he said, “I sought the Lord . . . and He . . . delivered me.” When we seek God, our faith is restored. As we draw near to the fullness of God, our fear is subdued. More

Israeli PM urges European leaders not to lift Iran sanctions.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks to reporters during a press conference, Tuesday, October 8, 2013 (photo credit: Flash90)
Western sanctions on Iran are close to achieving their desired result of bringing Iran’s military nuclear program to a halt, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told European leaders in phone conversations over the weekend, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office Saturday. Speaking ahead of new P5+1 talks with Iran in Geneva this coming week, Netanyahu told French President Francois Hollande and British Prime Minister David Cameron that the sanctions should not be lifted as long as Iran continues enriching uranium for the development of nuclear weapons, officials in Jerusalem said Saturday. According to the officials, Netanyahu also warned Hollande and Cameron that Iran had ignored UN Security Council resolutions in the past, and that Tehran has been directly involved in terrorist activities across the globe. More

North Korea warns of ‘All-Out War’

Seoul (AFP) – North Korea on Saturday issued a fresh warning of an “all-out war”, urging the United States to stop military drills and what it described as “nuclear blackmail”. In a thinly veiled threat to strike the United States, the North’s National Defence Commission (NDC), chaired by leader Kim Jong-Un, said the US government must withdraw its policy of hostility against the North if it wants peace on both the Korean peninsula and the “US mainland”. ”(The United States) must bear it in mind that reckless provocative acts would meet our retaliatory strikes and lead to an all-out war of justice for a final showdown with the United States,” a spokesman of the NDC was quoted as saying in a statement carried by Pyongyang’s Korean Central News Agency. ”We emphasize again that the United States must withdraw various measures aimed to isolate and strangulate us. Dependent upon this are… peace and security, not only on the Korean peninsula but the US mainland as well.” The comments come after a two-day joint naval drill between Japan, South Korea and the US, which included an American nuclear aircraft carrier, sparked a series of angry responses and threats from Pyongyang. More

‘I Sure Did’: Tennessee Pastor Unapologetic for Speaking About God at Public School Assembly

SODDY-DAISY, Tenn. – A pastor in Tennessee is refusing to apologize for speaking about God at a public school assembly last month, where he gave a speech in memory of the 9/11 attack on American soil. “Did I mention God in the speech that day?” Pastor Alan Stewart of Rechoboth Baptist Church in Soddy-Daisy asked local television stationWRCB-TV. “I sure did.” Stewart had been invited to speak at Sale Creek Middle/High School on September 11th, and so, he decided that he wanted to give the students hope. According to a transcript of the speech, he mentioned God six times, and quoted one Scripture during his seven-minute talk. “In the days that followed, as a pastor, I was asked a hundreds times, ‘How do you answer this from Scripture?’” he explained to students that day. “My mind recalled a moment in Luke 13:4 where Jesus had addressed a national event where the tower in Siloam had fallen on innocent people and their lives were lost.”More

Thousands of Youth Nationwide Gather to Challenge Peers to Read, Live Scripture

Thousands of youth from across the nation gathered this past Wednesday to challenge each other to read and live out the Scriptures in their everyday lives in an annual event known as “Fields of Faith.” The event, organized by Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is held every second Wednesday in October. Its mission is to see students across America challenge each other to read the Bible. The hour-long gathering, held on school athletic fields and in gymnasiums nationwide, is filled with Scripture reading and personal testimonies. “The reality is we are losing the spiritual war in America,” the Fields of Faith website states. “There is a movement in our country to remove God from the public square. It is rapidly taking ground and grows more emboldened every day.” Fellowship of Christian Athletes states that part of the problem today is that youth are not reading their Bibles. More

Air Force Fires Two Star General in Charge of Nuke Missiles, 2nd in 48 Hours

The Air Force’s two star general in charge of the units responsible for its 450 nuclear missiles has been fired “due to a loss of trust and confidence in his leadership and judgment.” Maj. Gen. Michael Carey has been removed from command of the 20th Air Force, according to an Air Force statement.  That command is responsible for the three wings that maintain control of the 450 intercontinental ballistic missiles scattered in missile silos across the northern plains. Lt. Gen. James Kowalski, the commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, made the decision because of what the statement said was a  ”loss of trust and confidence. The statement added that  Kowalski made the decision to relieve Carey based on information from an Inspector General investigation into Carey’s behavior during a temporary duty assignment which is the military’s term for business travel. “The allegations are not related to operational readiness or the inspection results of any 20th AF unit, nor do they involve sexual misconduct,” said the statement.  Carey has been reassigned to an undetermined job within the Air Force pending the results of the investigation. “20th AF continues to execute its mission of around-the-clock nuclear deterrence in a safe, secure and effective manner,” Kowalski is quoted as saying in the statement. “It’s unfortunate that I’ve had to relieve an officer who’s had an otherwise distinctive career spanning 35 years of commendable service.” More

Alter-egos: In the online virtual world Second Life, Pester's blonde avatar (left) worked as a DJ, and the couple had a wedding
While an Oklahoma couple were busy living out their fantasies in a video game, police say in real life their 2-year-old daughter was starving to death. Mark Knapp, 48, and Elizabeth Pester, 33, of Tulsa, have been arrested and charged with child neglect and abuse after their young daughter landed in a hospital in critical condition. Knapp and Pester were booked Tuesday night into the Tulsa County Jail on $50,000 bond each.  According to the arrest report obtained by Tulsa World, the couple’s 2-year-old daughter was rushed to St Francis Hospital weighing only 13lbs. When officers came to taken the parents into custody, they said Knapp and Pester were busy playing video games. Detective Denielle Bishop, who has been assigned to the case, told the station Newson6 that the little girl cannot walk or move, and has only limited vocal skills. Knapp and Pester’s daughter was born in 2010, and has been in and out of hospitals for failure to thrive. In June 2012, the toddler was taken into the custody of the Department of Human Services for being underweight compared to other children in her age group. More

Category 4 Tropical Cyclone Phailin makes landfall in India: 500,000 evacuated

October 12, 2013 – INDIA – As many as 500,000 people in India have been evacuated as a massive cyclone sweeps through the Bay of Bengal towards the east coast. Cyclone Phailin, categorized as “very severe” by weather forecasters, is expected to hit Orissa and Andhra Pradesh states on Saturday evening. The Meteorological Department has predicted the storm will bring winds of up to 220km/h (136mph). A super-cyclone in 1999 killed more than 10,000 people in Orissa. But officials say this time they are better prepared, the BBC’s Sanjoy Majumder in Orissa reports. Officials said Cyclone Phailin was expected to make landfall close to the city of Gopalpur (Orissa state), bringing a storm surge of at least 3m (10ft) that was likely to cause “extensive damage” to mud houses on the coast. “No-one will be allowed to stay in mud and thatched houses in the coastal areas,” said Orissa’s Disaster Management Minister Surya Narayan Patra. The army is on standby in the two states for emergency and relief operations. Officials said helicopters and food packages were ready to be dropped in the storm-affected areas. Meanwhile, the US Navy’s Joint Typhoon Warning Centre predicted that Phailin could produce gusts of up to 296km/h (184 mph), while the London-based Tropical Storm Risk classified Phailin as a Category Five storm – the most powerful. Janmejay Mohapatra, a resident of Orissa state capital Bhubaneswar, said it was too dangerous to go out now, as trees were down and debris was flying everywhere. Cyclone Phailin is expected to be the biggest storm to hit the region for 14 years. “Already the rain is very heavy and the wind is gusting at 100-120km an hour,” he told the BBC. “The phone lines are down where I am and we have no electricity.” –BBC

Alaska’s Veniaminof Volcano erupts- sends traces of ash over 2 Alaskan communities

October 12, 2013 – ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A volcano on the Alaska Peninsula has again become active during a months-long eruption, with a trace of ash falling on communities up to 35 miles away. The Alaska Volcano Observatory says in a release that Veniaminof Volcano resumed its 2013 eruption on Saturday after being quiet for about a month. It’s been marked by lava flows, fountaining and intermittent but small ash, steam and gas plumes. The plumes usually only travel a few miles from the volcano, but the communities of Chignik Lake and Chignik Lagoon, about 35 miles away, reported trace ash on Friday. The observatory says ash fall from the volcano 480 miles southwest of Anchorage is not considered to be significant. The eruption started in June. –News Miner

New Zealand’s White Island Volcano erupts: alert level raised

October 12, 2013 – NEW ZEALAND – New Zealand’s geological agency GNS Science said on Saturday that it’s raised the alert level for White Island after the volcano erupted. The agency said a moderate explosion eruption, lasting about a minute, happened just after 8 p.m. Friday night. GNS Science said the volcanic alert level has been raised from one to two which indicates minor activity. The aviation color code has been upgraded to orange, the second- highest alert level. GNS volcanologist Arthur Jolly said the eruption was about the same size as the previous one in August 2012, Radio New Zealand reported. Jolly said the eruption threw mostly mud, rather than ash, into the air. He said bad weather on Saturday prevented GNS volcanologists from flying over the island to observe the volcano. –Global Times

6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast of Venezuela

Ven 10 12
October 12, 2013 – VENEZUELA – Parts of Guyana shook last night in the aftermath of a 6.0-Richter scale earthquake just offshore Sucre, Venezuela and about 87 kilometers west of Port of Spain, in neighboring Trinidad and Tobago. At around 10:15 pm, the effects of the earthquake could be felt here and persons from across the country reported feeling the tremors. The tremors would have been the strongest in the northwest of the country. There were no reports of injuries or damage at press time. “We are on the South American plate … when its tip rubs the tip of the Caribbean plate it will create waves and we will have these (tremors) but the thing is no one knows when this will happen…,” science professor and astronomer Dr. Alfred Bhulai explained last evening. Moderate shaking was experienced in many parts of Trinidad and the duration of the temblor closer to the epicenter was between 15 and 20 seconds. The US Geological Survey is reporting that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 79.4 km.  –Stabroek News

Fukushima radiation levels hit 2-year high: workers contaminated in latest mishap

October 12, 2013 – JAPAN – Seawater just outside one of Japan’s damaged Fukushima Daiichi reactors registered radiation levels on Wednesday 13 times the previous day’s reading, the operator of the crippled nuclear plant said on Thursday. Japan’s Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO), said combined Cesium-134 and Cesium-137 readings just outside the damaged No. 2 reactor jumped to 1,200 becquerels per liter on Wednesday, the highest levels recorded since late 2011. Regulatory limits for Cesium, which emits powerful gamma radiation and is potentially fatal to humans, is 90 bq/liter for Cesium-137 and 60 bq/liter for Cesium-134. A TEPCO spokesman said the sudden spike in radiation was caused by construction work near the No. 2 building, Reuters reported. News of the spike in radiation levels is the latest setback this week for TEPCO, which has been harshly criticized for its handling of the nuclear disaster in the wake of the massive quake and tsunami that hit the power station in March 2011, triggering three reactor meltdowns. On Wednesday, six workers were exposed to radiation after a pipe connected to a contaminated water treatment system was mistakenly detached. Reuters estimates that at least 7 tons of water escaped the system. Earlier, a worker accidentally switched off a water pump used to channel water into the reactor building. Crews are using chemicals to fortify the soil around the Fukushima reactor buildings – hundreds of meters from the port entrance that connects to the Pacific Ocean – to prevent contaminated water from flowing into the ocean.
The pressure from injecting chemicals into the ground forced contaminated soil out into the port area, the spokesman said. TEPCO also said Cesium-137 readings just outside the silt fence next to the No.2 reactor increased to160 bq/liter, a number that exceeds the regulatory limit and almost double the previous day’s reading. Radiation from radioactive water leaking from the plant is mostly confined to the harbor around the facility, officials have said. TEPCO, which is using hundreds of tons of water in an effort to keep the reactors from overheating, has struggled to contain the buildup of radioactive water at the plant. The accidents at the Fukushima Daiichi plant, situated 220 km (130 miles) from Tokyo, are fueling doubts over TEPCO’s abilities to oversee a hugely complicated cleanup that is expected to take decades. Last week, the beleaguered Japanese energy company said 430 liters (113 gallons) of contaminated water had leaked from a storage tank at Fukushima and probably flowed to the ocean. Meanwhile, Japanese officials have said there is no environmental threat to other countries as radiation will be diluted by the sea. Tokyo, despite lingering concerns over the long-term safety situation at Fukushima, was selected last month to host the 2020 Olympic Games. –RT
Workers contaminated: Six workers at Japan’s crippled Fukushima nuclear plant have been doused with highly radioactive water after wrongly disconnecting a pipe. The accident sent toxic water spilling on to them and the entire floor of the facility which houses a set of three units designed for water treatment. The workers were wearing face masks with filters, protective hazmat suits and raingear, and their exposure is believed minor but still under investigation, said Yoshimi Hitosugi, spokesman for operator Tokyo Electric Power Co (Tepco). The workers were part of an 11-member team, and the remaining five were not splashed, he said. They managed to reattach the pipe later. The accident is latest in a string of mishaps. A week earlier, workers overfilled a storage tank without fully checking water levels, and caused a leak of 430 litres (113 gallons) of contaminated water which is thought to have run into the sea. Tepco has been battling to contain radioactive water since the plant suffered triple meltdowns and hydrogen explosions following a devastating earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. In the latest incident, the company said a worker mistakenly detached a pipe connected to a treatment system which removes salt from the hundreds of tonnes of cooling water Tepco pumps over the melted fuel in wrecked reactors. Tepco said seven tonnes of water were spilled in Wednesday’s incident but was contained within the site. The accidents at the Fukushima Daiichi plant, 130 miles (220 kilometres) north of Tokyo, are adding to a crisis no one seems to know how to contain, and stirring doubt over Tepco’s abilities to carry out a complex cleanup widely expected to take decades. –Sky News

Glitch Shuts Down Welfare Debit Card System Nationwide…

People in Ohio, Michigan and 15 other states found themselves unable to use their food stamp debit-style cards on Saturday, after a routine test of backup systems by vendor Xerox Corp. resulted in a system failure. At about 9 a.m. Saturday, reports from across the country began pouring in that customers’ EBT cards were not working in stores. At 2 p.m., an EBT customer service representative told CBS Boston that the system was currently down for a computer system upgrade. Xerox spokeswoman Jennifer Wasmer released further details later in the afternoon in an emailed statement. “While the electronic benefits system is now up and running, beneficiaries in the 17 affected states continue to experience connectivity issues to access their benefits. Technical staff is addressing the issue and expect the system to be restored soon,”  Wasmer said. “Beneficiaries requiring access to their benefits can work with their local retailers who can activate an emergency voucher system where available. We appreciate our clients’ patience while we work through this outage as quickly as possible.” More

God will deliver us

If you are going through hardships and trials. Always remember God’s promise of deliverance, he said:

Jeremiah 15: 19-21

“If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve me;if you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be my spokesman.Let this people turn to you, but you must not turn to them. I will make you a wall to this people,a fortified wall of bronze;they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to rescue and save you,”declares the Lord.“I will save you from the hands of the wicked and deliver you from the grasp of the cruel.”

The trials are getting harder. But not shrink for the LORD is with you, nothing shall defeat you

POwerful message inspired by the Lord, our saviour and Father. The  one that is with us from the beginning until the end . Be nourished!!!

1 Peter 1:5-9

who through faith are shielded by God‘s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time.  In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials.  These have come so that your faith–of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire–may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.  Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,  for you are receiving the goal of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

Nothing can separate you from GOD but yourself

Romans 8:38-39

38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

The only one who can separate you from God is yourself.  YOU should “Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” (psalm 34:8) .

GOD Bless…

WHY OBEY God’s words?

The 10 commandments and the law of Christ

Babylonian forms of worship  have crept  Into SOME Christian churches. This is ONE OF the greatest deceptions to befall mankind. Evil itself has rejoiced that many Christian DO NOT read the bible, and that the number of Atheists is on the rise. In many churches IDOLATRY is the norm, statues are worshipped, prayers are directed to dead people and to lifeless man made idols. IN THE NAME OF JESUS, RUN FROM IT. Moses was clear to the Israelites about IDOL worship, and Jesus confirmed it by saying in John 14:6: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Before I put scriptures I want to explore why atheist are on the rise? Well one of the reasons is that because many have started to realise the disparity between church dogmas and the law of Christ. Many non-believers say: If  the church that represents christianity tramples on the law of its own Holy book  why would I want to be part of such hypocrisy?

WELL, They are right! Why would anyone believe in God, his words in the bible and follow something completely different from what it is written in the Holy book? As a christian I am constantly faced with such question, and to  that I always say: I don’t like religion … Because GOD is beyond religion, the word of the LORD is perfect and truthful. He promises, he delivers, he calls us and he punishes the wicked.  ALL we are expected to do is give some LOVE back. Isn’t any relationship like this? GIVE AND TAKE? your spiritual relationship with GOD is no different.

So, if you truly Love God, but the dogmas of the church you go are against the Law of GOD, LEAVE it in the name of Jesus. He said in Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” BUT If you are lucky and are part of a church that honours Go’d words 100%. Be blessed, but read the bible yourself and pray for understanding. Don’t just rely on what is fed to you Because  God wrote the word to speak directly to you, not only through others.

WHY OBEY God’s words? he delivers not in our time but in his time. So, it’s wise to remain FIRM regardless …. This is what happened to the impatient and Israelites of little faith

At the time of the Israelites, the way people thanked God for what they had received (freedom from slavery in Egypt) was by sacrificing animals. God also instructed that they build a temple and an ark, which would represent the covenant between God and the Israelites. Many years passed and people started to forget what GOD had done for them, they would complain of the hardship of living in the desert and would curse God, evil was slowly crippling into their hearts.  God saw the wickedness and ungratefulness. So, he told Moses that the generation that was freed would never see the promised land, because they did not trust God. So, the Israelites wandered the desert for 40 years.

The Israelites started to battle against the ancient tribes in order to posses their land, because God instructed them to do so. They were also told to kill every single human being who were living in such tribe.

WHY? Because this was the last chance for the descendants of nephilim  and their culture of worshipping many Gods, sacrificing human beings and defiling mankind, to be wiped out. As usual the Israelites did not hear God’s command and did not kill everyone but not only that, they allowed the survivors to live amongst them. Because of that, the wars for land ownership were a constant since ancient times, just like they are today.

Biblical truth about idolatry

exodus 20:22-26 — Idols and Altars

22 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

24 “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. 25 If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it. 26 And do not go up to my altar on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.’

instructions to the Israelites ( AND US) before they conquest the lands God assigned to them.

Deuteronomy 8 Be careful to follow every command I am giving you today, so that you may live and increase and may enter and possess the land the Lord promised on oath to your ancestors. Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.

Observe the commands of the Lord your God, walking in obedience to him and revering him. For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land—a land with brooks, streams, and deep springs gushing out into the valleys and hills; a land with wheat and barley, vines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey; a land where bread will not be scarce and you will lack nothing; a land where the rocks are iron and you can dig copper out of the hills.

10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, praise the Lord your God for the good land he has given you. 11 Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God, failing to observe his commands, his laws and his decrees that I am giving you this day. 12 Otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, when you build fine houses and settle down, 13 and when your herds and flocks grow large and your silver and gold increase and all you have is multiplied, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 15 He led you through the vast and dreadful wilderness, that thirsty and waterless land, with its venomous snakes and scorpions. He brought you water out of hard rock. 16 He gave you manna to eat in the wilderness, something your ancestors had never known, to humble and test you so that in the end it might go well with you. 17 You may say to yourself, “My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.” 18 But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

19 If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and worship and bow down to them, I testify against you today that you will surely be destroyed. 20 Like the nations the Lord destroyed before you, so you will be destroyed for not obeying the Lord your God.

God warned them not to do the following

Deuteronomy 18

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. 10 Let no one be found among you who sacrifices their son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, 11 or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. 12 Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord; because of these same detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God.

Even after all the instructions the Israelites turned wicked again by adopting the worshipping practices/ gods of their conquered people and because of that have endured many wars for land ownership since ancient times. They were warned that if they disobeyed horrible things would happen but they didn’t and Jews ended up scattered world wide with no land to call their own for quite a while. If you know the modern history of Jews, you know what happened to them until the creation of Israel in 1948.

Because the Israelites were disobedient and turned their back to God, the Jews were scattered amongst the nations of the world. Not because God sent them, but because they no longer had God’s protection. This is the difference between having God and not having GOD:  With GOD there’s order, without GOD chaos surely ensues eventually!

The Israelites turned their back to GOD, so they became  alone spiritually. Therefore, their enemies of the ancient times once again subdued  them. But, because God is great and merciful, he heard the cry out of the many people who still remained firm in their belief in God and firm in the rightful ways. He also saw that even the non- Jews who were born in bondage with the disecrate ways of the time practicing idolatry and commiting the most despiteful sins, still were not to be blamed, because they were born into bondage and lack of knowledge of spirituality  through GOD.

THIS IS WHERE the NEW ALLIANCE ENTERS: Jesus Christ, he is the Lamb, the one who is the last sacrifice to mankind.

“As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him.” (psalm 18:30)

The 10 commandments and the law of Christ

After the Israelites were freed they stayed in the desert going from place to place in the mountains and in the desert camping for days on end or sometimes months. Moses would always speak to God and they would move when Moses was told so. This is when Moses drafted  God’s inspired 10 commandments.

20 And God spoke all these words:

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

“You shall have no other gods before[a] me.

“You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

“You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

13 You shall not murder.

14 You shall not commit adultery.

15 You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance 19 and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”

21 The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.

Idols and Altars
